I work in another dept. than hskp. but I see a lot and hear a lot. Hskp. is an abused dept. those employees work hard and get no respect from anyone. If you even smile and speak to them they act so grateful they act like the outcasts of the Belle. If you bother to get to know them most of them are nice people just trying to make a living. Personally I feel sorry for them. They get every dirty job on the Belle there is to do. with no respect from anyone. I personally know their manager and know how she feels about her dept. Even she makes fun of them. Someone opened the door of hell and she slithered out. She is a skunk for people to have to work for. Maybe in time she may be sorry for the abuse she has turned on those employees. She is an evil person. Replacing her is the best thing that could have happened to that dept.
I love reading the comments on hskp and the Belle. It isn't the only dept. that goes thru hell but some people will speak out about the abuse in hskp. but not the other depts.Robin is a sorry excuse for a manager. the dept. heads are a bunch of jerks. I feel so sorry for anyone who has to work for the belle. I work for food and bev. and you do not stand a chance of ever being treated as a human being. Too bad the Belle doesn't have the sense to mave to another area and leave Alton to the people who live here you are no longer wanted.
It is amazing the humiliation that people will endure to have a job. Robin M. has taken away all the self esteem any employee working under her had. I wish every person in the area could have a chance to know her and know how she treats her employees. I know they would not patronize the belle if they knew.she is cruel and evil but in the end she will get he just dues. you never fly so high but what you light. Her day is coming. Having worked for her I agree with everyone else she needs to be replaced with someone else as she is an evil person. Housekeeping has went to the union and human resources facility director general manager each one says it isn't their job find someone else. after you go up the laddar to the top there isn't anywhere else to go. You still are in the same boat as when you started. Noone does not believe the abuse the afternoon housekeepers has endure for the past 4 years under the present manager until you talk to them. John is the only person that has tried to help them. We thank him for the effort he has put forth to make the job better for us. I do not ever like to see anyone lose their job but the present manager should not ever be put in a position to abuse people like she has in the past. It should be lawsuit material with the abuse that taken place in this dept. If you have a problem with believing what is said ask them. But, they have what they call spoters out they ask how you like your job and you tell them the truth they go back and report what you have said and you are in serious trouble. You can't win. The belle does suck but it doesn' have to be that way if they would listen to what they are being told.
why won't the union do something about the hskp. dept.has anyone ever tried? How can they be treated so bad and noone does anything about it? There is laws to regulate abuse on the job. Someone should be looking into it. After reading these comments and going on the belle and talking to the employees I am shocked this has been allowed to continue for so long. Housekeeping employees should have the sympthy of the world. They are cussed have pens,clipboard,and anything else thrown at them. They are cussed, lied to lied about by the manager of the dept. Seems like a few others agree by reading the other letters. It is a pityful mess they endure daily. Noone in the past will do anything about it. They are merging with food and beverage dept. Maybe some changes will be made for the better. Everyone says the new manager will be good. For the sake of the employees I hope so. This is so Ironic, I have been laid off for 2 months from a Construction Co. in Mo. During these 2 months I have consided working for Wall-Mart and considered working for Alton Belle Security. Then you have sara crull who has twice slapped emps. Talked to Roben she just said sara is new to the job she dosen't know all the boundery's yet! So took the problem to MR.BILL who said he would take care of it and as always sweept under the carpet.so we took the problem to H.R. then MISS. TRISH said that is sara giving direction. now any other compeny would have FIRED her for this but not the bell. if it sounds right don't do it. Then you have the 3rd. snake in the grass MR. What union represents you? Is thee a Casino workers union? Is security different than the rest of the casino workers or are you all covered by the same union?

Was wrongfully discharged, sued and settlement has me under a gag order.
Most interesting thing I learned is that Illinois Gaming Act does not give a gaming employee the right to sue. But if your lawyer gets close to having it changed, they settle.
Your forgot to mention the other person involved with the website had a family member treated just as bad by the Casino...and after a year of arbitration won the case against the casino...I think you guys were targeted to get even with the union and to threaten the other employee currently involved in arbitration.
If your union can't resolve these problems, I would strongly suggest finding another resource to do so.

This is completely ridiculous, and I think you could sue the Alton Bell Casino for damaging your character(detrement to Character I think it's called).
I wouldn't plan on working for them again, as the environment would be extremly uncomfotable....but I believe you deserve compensation for your situation.
