Brad Carter’s Audio Exploits - posted on Tuesday, January 1st 2008 1:29 pm

This page is here to showcase a few of my audio exploits. From prank calls, to skits to just things I’ve created out of boredom.

PLA Radio This is my latest audio project and, as of this writing, has lasted for 7 episodes. I put together various skits, songs, pranks, etc and put them all together in a show format and distribute it over the podcast network.

The Big Beef Bueno Show This is my other podcast.

Call From Myself This is from a Fark Audio Edit contest where the theme was “The phone rings this afternoon and it’s your future self, calling from the year 2015 to give you a few pointers. Fortunately, you recorded the conversation.” You’ll hear plenty of Back to the Future references in this call.

Chop Suey This is one of those boredom things…I mixed System of a Down’s song Chop Suey with Weird Al Yankovic’s polka version of it. It doesn’t mix too well but I tried. You’ll hear an extra whisper in the song which you might have to play a few times to understand.

Rubicon on CNN This was inspired after coming home from the 2003 Rubicon hacker convention and wishing there was more media coverage of it. Since there wasn’t any, I decided to make my own. The style of it was inspired by the 70’s skit called Mr. Jaws. The opening and closing music is called Is It Finished by the 80’s christian rock band Petra.

Summer Nights I think it was someone on Cal’s forums that came up with the idea of having relay operators recite lyrics to songs and then paste it all together in karaoke fashion. The only problem was that they used some song that I’d never heard of. I decided to try it out using something that many people would be a little more familiar with - Summer Nights from the movie Grease. This is something that I’d really like to finish but I’ll probably never get around to it.

Eminem Prank Call Skit In early 2005, Paris Hilton’s sidekick was hacked and her address book of celebrities was posted all over the internet. Immediately, lots of celebrity prank calling ensued. This is my rendition of what a prank call to Eminem might sound like. I used Eminem’s voice from the song Guilty Conscience.
