Leaving Albany, hanging out with Heywood and Heather

Sunday, May 2, 2004: Took the kids to McDonalds for breakfast, spending my last $10 in cash. The hotel charged an extra week to my debit card which took my debit balance down to $14.00. They credited the weekly thing for me but it’s going to take probably 4 days for that money to appear back in the account. So I’m going home today and I have no money! I was supposed to drop off the kids around noon but nobody was home when we attempted that. So we hung around parks and the mall most of the morning, just killing time and waiting for somebody to get home. EvilCal was nice enough to send me $12.00 from his PayPal account to me. Then he made a post on the forums, demanding that everyone pay their hosting fees. Yauch immediately sent me $60.00 which I took out of the ATM for the kids’ lunches. The remaining $50.00 should get me halfway to Illinois.

After saying goodbye to the kids, I drove to Heywood’s house in Portland. Me, him and several friends of his drove all over the city being extremely immature for the rest of the evening. We hax0red all the computers at Circuit City, played on overhead intercoms at Wal-Mart and Fred Meyer (until they told us to stop) and videotaped the Dash For Cash prank at a few supermarkets.

Monday, May 3, 2004: Woke up at 7:00am after a night on Heather’s couch and left for Illinois. Decided to make a pitstop in Montana to see Mr. & Mrs. Spessa. So that was about a 12 hour drive. My GPS program instructed me to take Highway 4 to their house after I got off the interstate since it was the most direct route. After 30 minutes of Highway 4, most of it dirt, it ended in a big pile of snow. The “road” looked more like a dirt trail going up a mountain. Luckily I was only 30 miles off of the interstate so it wasn’t much effort to drive back to the interstate and find another route. I ended up at Spessa’s around 10pm or so.

Mcdonald’s Sign, 2600

Friday, 2-6-2004: This week a created a new McDonald’s sign to replace my stolen one. Today me and Tricia drove to McDonald’s to put it up. It all seemed to go well but when we came back to snap a picture of it just 5 minutes later, it was gone. It turned out that the glue and sticky strips I use didn’t hold it up. Most likely because of the freezing weather. Today Elonka introduced me to orkut.com which I signed up for. Seems like a cool service. I set up Orkut communities for PLA and the Riverbend. After work today I went to the 2600 meeting which I haven’t attended in 3 or 4 months now. There were only 4 of us, probably because of the icy weather. After the meeting I drove by McDonald’s and retreived my fallen sign from the ground. It was covered in snow but it seemed to be undamaged. We’ll have to try it again this weekend.

Lying Murd0c

Monday, 4-21-2003: Worked, around noon I was talking to Rob and we decided to go meet Murd0c at the airport who never showed up. Came back home and worked a little more. I wrote an update on phonelosers.org about the airport incident which is here.

Monday, 4-28-2003: Worked all day. I decided I needed a VCR for my porch camera so RijilV rode around town with me looking for a cheap VCR. Plus we messed with drive-thru freqs. Found out that we can talk to Taco Bell from my house.

February 2003

Friday, 2-22-2003: Went to my mom’s retirement party at her store. Went to Fast Eddies with Amy, Angie and Rick in the evening. Angie picked me up to take me there. It was Jayme’s last night singing there. After that we went to The Celler for awhile and played pool.

Saturday, 2-23-2003: Worked for a little while, took Payton to Austin’s birthday party at Godfrey McDonalds then took him back to Colleen’s. Me and Tom worked on his basement room for about 3 hours in the evening.

Sunday, 2-24-2003: Picked up the kids from Colleens and had them until 5:30. We mostly just hung around the house a lot and then went to Jamestown Mall for a few hours to play on the slides.

Wednesday, 2-26-2003: Worked all day, Colleen had the kids. Me and Amy went out and did the drive-thru happy birthday trick during the evening, then came back to my house and watched Dogma.

Friday, 2-28-2003: Went to Lowe’s a bought a bunch of 2 x 4’s for more walls in the basement. Took off work a little early to work on that stuff. Amy calls me around midnight while I’m sleeping and convinces me to get up and do some more drive-thru pranks. So we went out and did that for a few hours with her friend Tami. Got some great footage.
